"About Me"
I am pursuing a long-term goal of becoming a Professional Golfer. I started playing golf at the age of nine when my father took me to The Gator Hole, a par three course located in North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. That’s where I developed my interest and love of the game. Since the first time I held a club in my hands, I have dreamed of becoming a professional golfer. I know this because every time I go to the golf course and stand on the first tee I feel this is where I belong.
I played on the Varsity Golf Team all four year at Hightstown High School. Since 1992, I have been giving private and group lessons. I have provided lessons for the East Windsor Community Education Program. In 1996, I obtained my American Golf Instructor’s Association card and began planning to move to the next level of becoming a professional golfer.
For the past two years, I have taken a bold step towards achieving my goal. I took leave of absence from my job to play on the North American Pro Golf Tour. I have gained valuable tournament experience over the past two years. Both the Tour director, Mr. Brian Hebb and former PGA Tour professional, Mr. Jim Hallet have both told me that I simply need more tournament experience and can look forward to success in the Senior Tour. See attachment A for a letter from Mr. Hebb.
In just three short years, I will be eligible to play in the Senior Golf Tour, where I expect to have great success, given my attitude towards the game of golf, my skill set, and my excellent physical condition and health. In order to play the full season and focus completely on golf, I estimate that I will need approximately $58,000 to cover the entry fee, tournament fees, and travel/living expenses.
